This boy is made for walking

Everett currently enjoys tummy time. He’ll laugh and talk while on his tummy, and kick out his legs to try to move towards a toy. He deems it an acceptable way to pass a few minutes.
But Everett loves it when he is standing. I’ll put a hand on either side of his waist, and he’ll then stand himself up. He then will hoot and holler, and celebrate this great moment of being able to be upright. He will then start doing the “Everett Dance” where he’ll swivel his hips, move his body back and forth, flail his arms, and push off on his legs so he is jumping. If he isn’t doing that, then he does his “I’m a giant and I’m stomping on small villages” routine. Standing up is definitely Everett’s favourite position, and he is always moving his legs (though at this point he isn’t really going anywhere).
Everett has discovered a new position he likes just a few notches below assisted standing. Unassisted sitting.
He is becoming a sitting pro. He has learned to use his arms to balance himself and has been able to get himself to sit up straight after learning forward. Though if we start cheering and congratulating him too much, then he usually gets pretty excited and his kicking legs cause him to topple down. Before the fall, he is one excited baby.
Everett loves being upright. This is why I wouldn’t be surprised if he opts to do the bum shimmy rather than the traditional crawl. After he bores of that, he might try to see how handy his legs are for walking. As for crawling, he’ll leave that for the dog.
