With my first daughter, I used a variety of single strollers. We had a stroller for use with her infant car seat, a jogging stroller for neighborhood walks, an umbrella stroller for quick trips, and a traditional stroller for trips to zoos, carnivals and malls. I paid attention to other strollers when we were out and was always in awe of mothers managing two little ones, pushing often gigantic double wide strollers through small paths at the zoo or aisles inside stores. Now that I have a baby No. 2 in tow, I know it is time find a double stroller that will work for my little ones in a variety of situations. Luckily, the Graco Ready2Grow Click Connect is a nearly perfect stroller for my growing family.
The Graco Ready2Grow Click Connect stroller’s standout feature is that it offers 12 different riding options for two children ranging in age from infant to youth. This feature means you can change the way you use the stroller as your children grow and that the stroller can work well for families with children of various ages. The stroller can be used with two Graco Click Connect car seats and offers a rear-facing basket seat option. This allows more face time interaction with younger babies. When using this seat, the older child would ride in the forward-facing seat that is common in most single strollers.
Riding options can be utilized for older children by simply removing the rear seat include a rear-facing bench seat or standing platform, perfect for when older children don’t want to be confined in a traditional stroller seat or want the ability to get in and out independently. This option compares to sit-and-stand strollers on the market, but those don’t offer nearly as many riding options. With the featured 12 different riding options, the Graco Ready2Grow makes finding a seating arrangement that works for two children of different ages easy.
The only option the stroller does not feature is a side-by-side seating arrangement, so even though the stroller can have two infant seats attached, I don’t think I’d recommend the seat for families with twins for long-term use.
The assembly of the stroller takes about 15 minutes, and directions are easy to follow, a huge plus considering the stroller’s configuration may be changed frequently to meet the needs of growing children. Wheels snap easily into place along with tray holders and two canopies. The stroller has an extra large storage basket underneath, a removable child tray, and an attached parent tray. The parent cup holder is a bit small though, as is the case with many strollers. In addition to these features, the stroller offers a reclining front seat that will lay completely flat (great for impromptu stroller naps) and lockable front wheels with suspension for maneuverability.
One of my final favorite features of the stroller is that children weighing up to 50 pounds can use the front seat, bench and standing platform. Many other strollers have a maximum weight of 40 pounds. The face time rear seat is recommended for up to 40 pounds. With all these options, the stroller can certainly be used long term and by older children who need a break from walking during lengthy family outings.
The stroller is easy to maneuver. I know that I won’t be struggling through crowds, doorways or aisles. This stroller is also incredibly easy to fold. With a simple click and turn, it can be folded up with one hand. I love this feature because it means I won’t be struggling to fold and unfold a stroller outside the car while also managing two small children. The stroller weighs 33 pounds, so it is heavy, but not as heavy as many other double stroller options. The stroller fits into the back of my SUV, but it may be difficult to fit in smaller sized vehicles. When folded, the stroller is 53 inches in length, 24 inches wide, and 20.5 inches in height. One solution to make the stroller less bulky during transport is to remove the two canopies before folding and storing.
The Graco Ready2Grow Click Connect stroller is one that will be used frequently by my family of four and one I recommend to families looking for a versatile and easy to manage double stroller.
