Did you know that 10 percent of women crave green apples during pregnancy? Satisfy your sour tooth by starting your morning with a super healthy smoothie.
Nicole Cormier, RD, LDN, owner of Delicious Living Nutrition Consulting in Sandwich, Massachusetts, shares one of her favorite vitamin-, nutrient- and amino acid-packed smoothie recipes from her book 201 Organic Smoothies & Juices for a Healthy Pregnancy.

  • 1 cup spinach 
  • 2 green apples, peeled and cored 
  • 1 banana 
  • 1 cup purified water

Combine spinach, apples and banana with ½ cup of water in a blender, and blend until thoroughly combined. Continue adding remaining water while blending until desired texture is achieved.
