The phil&teds nest is extremely helpful for a busy family on the go. I found it particularly useful as a mom who often has to venture out independently due to my husband’s work schedule.
nest-with-baby-1NEWHere are the features:

  • Sets up in under 10 seconds.
  • Comes with a storage compartment that holds everything you need and more!
  • Roomy design for baby’s comfort while sleeping
  • Has a contoured base that allows air to flow and keeps baby from overheating while providing posture support
  • Has sturdy handles for hand or should transport
  • Folds into a compact bundle easy for carrying
  • A breathable, sheer mesh covers the rim of the bassinet to help baby stay safe from the sun and unwanted bugs

Instead of breaking down the bassinet or pack-n-play (which was used as a bassinet in our bedroom until 6 months of age), I was able to take a sleep/nap place with me without disrupting my entire household and cleaning out all the cargo space in my SUV, packing it again upon leaving, and resetting it up upon returning home. To rid myself of the hassle is a dream come true. Keeping my child on a nap schedule is priority to me and by taking the travel bed with us versus the normal heavy-duty pack-n-play was so much easier. I plan to use the bed in the homes of my family members when I travel. It’s so much easier than putting the child in a room on a bed with no monitor. Obviously the travel bed is the smartest choice as opposed to allowing the child to cramp up in a car seat for a nap.
Outside use is a breeze. The nest is a place where while pooling we can place the baby under the tent in a napper. The fabric is easy to clean, and the mattress pads are removable and washable and I have found thus far the color has not faded—even near all the chlorine!

In addition to our own adventures, I found the nest useful to take to my grandmother’s house as she watched the baby. She is limited in her movement and could place the baby on the couch with her to avoid having to bend all the way over into the crib to pick him up—so sweet.
I feel confident taking this product places without my husband. I cannot say that I feel that way about other pack-n-plays or nappers that I have tried in the past.
This product is perfect for the jet-setting mom, and folds into a small carry bag so I can travel independently and have an arm free to carry baby. It folds easily, and for the price, I feel as though its the most “bang for your buck” compared to other travel cradles. I recommend this product to all parents.
