Maxi-Cosi Mico

The Maxi-Cosi Mico is absolutely the most fashionable infant seat I’ve come across. I love the unique color options and modern design, and since I tend to carry the seat with my little one in it fairly often, the fact that it’s less than 9 pounds (without the base) is a major plus. The handle is long and retracts to multiple positions, which makes the seat easier to carry as well.
In addition to being stylish, this seat is safe: It surpasses all NHTSA safety standards and is lined with impact-absorbing EPP foam. It’s recommended for rear-facing use for infants from 5 to 22 pounds. I had it professionally installed using the LATCH system without any problems, and I appreciate the green for go/red for no indicator on the base that lets you know when the seat is safely secured—it offers a little extra peace of mind.
The front harness adjustment is easy to use, and when my son was a newborn we also used the infant insert to keep his little head stable. The canopy is not huge, but I love the see-through sides and open-and-close top window. Overall, I would highly recommend this infant seat. It’s compatible with several different strollers to create a travel system (I use mine with the Quinny Buzz) and I’ve been very pleased with its performance and style.
