When we found out we were having twins, we knew it would mean getting two of almost everything. All I could picture was our house being taken over by baby gear! (Even parents of singletons report this!) Naturally, we found ourselves gravitating toward any piece of gear that would save us a little space. Fortunately, the Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair does just that.
Fisher Price SpaceSaver 1Overall, the chair was super easy to put together. All you need is five minutes and a screwdriver. To be honest, there were so few pieces to assemble that I didn’t even need the manual. However, I did go back and glance at it and found it to be very detailed. I definitely would not have been lost if I needed to reference it.
The SpaceSaver has been really handy with my twins. It is lightweight and straps easily to a kitchen chair. With three stages for growth, it can be adjusted from reclining your baby to sitting him upright to putting him in a toddler booster seat. When they were younger, I was able to recline my twins back safely and easily to begin rice cereal feedings. Now that they’re older, they sit in an upright position, and we use the five-point harness to ensure they’re secure. The SpaceSaver has a maximum capacity of 50 pounds, so I imagine using this chair in booster form for years to come.

The whole product has been super easy to clean after the babies’ meals. I love how large the food tray is and how easy it is to remove. It has two latches that easily allow the tray to glide off without any hassle. Plus, the chair cushion is stain-resistant, machine-washable and gender-neutral. (It’s available in several fashions.)
With twins ,I need the extra help caring for them. Luckily, they’ve got two sets of loving grandparents who are always willing to help. They, too, love the SpaceSaver because it’s affordable and works great at their homes when the babies come to visit. It’s very easy to travel with and, like the name says, does not take up much room when packing everything up for those overnight trips.
