Fawn Design Pack
I have to say, I’m not much of a bag […]
I have to say, I’m not much of a bag guy. That’s not to say I don’t like them, but rather, I’m not a fan of carrying around more than fits comfortably in my pockets. Now, thanks to the birth of our first little one, that’s all changed. I imagine I’m not the only guy to say that the world of men’s diaper bags is far from cool. In fact, most of my friends just use their preferred backpacks and call it a day.
My mind was definitely changed when I saw the Fawn Design Pack. From afar, the Pack just looks like a stylish leather backpack, but the interior is definitely designed to carry (and organize) the massive amount of baby supplies that parents all have. Furthermore, while the bag is marketed towards men, my wife has no issue carrying it around. It’s just one of those items that looks good on everyone.
The bag comes in a soft vegan leather (could’ve fooled me) that is easy to wipe down and surprisingly durable. I have the brown color; however, there is also a black option. The hardware on the brown bag has an antique gold finish, and it’s definitely stronger than your typical backpack zipper. In general, the quality is top notch. There’s a weight to the bag when empty, but it doesn’t make it uncomfortable to carry around, even when filled. The adjustable backpack-style straps, that I wish were ever so slightly wider, as well as a top carry handle are convenient and comfortable.
Moving on, the interior of the bag features the same faux leather and hardware and has plenty of pockets. The two large interior sections are great for filling with blankets, clothes, diapers, etc. There are also a couple of smaller dividers within these sections to hold things in place, so you know right where the wipes are when you need them. There’s a smaller zipper pocket inside, as well as two zipper pockets on the front of the bag and one on the back (a perfect hidden spot for a phone and some keys). I do wish there was some kind of exterior side pocket for holding a water bottle; however, I’m not sure how it would fit in with the overall look of the bag.
We’ve used the bag for a few outings, and it definitely holds everything we need for a quick trip to the store or a full day out. When it comes to bells and whistles, this bag doesn’t really have any. There isn’t a built-in changing pad or an insulated bottle pocket or any other add-ons. But from my experience, I can say that you won’t really miss them. This streamlined backpack has exactly what you need—without any extra fuss. All in all, the Fawn Design Pack is a solid diaper bag that I see myself using long after I’m done carting around diapers and wipes. Yes, it’s simple, but the quality and design is unmatched in any other diaper bag at the same price point that I’ve seen.
