This morning, my sister-in-law Jamie shared one of her pins on Pinterest with me (that girl is more obsessed than I am) along with a message that read, “I’m on the search for a look-alike piece for Will’s room with a much smaller price tag. Let me know if you know to where to look! It’s doesn’t have to be orange, but I really like it. Thanks!”
One of my favorite things: a design-on-a-dime challenge. Of course, I was up to the task. After all, what kind of auntie would I be if I couldn’t deliver when it came to ensuring my nephew has a nursery as cool as he is?
I began hunting around online to get a feel for what’s out there and found a few more orange-kissed splurges that were equally pin-worthy. But before we spent Will’s college fund furnishing his baby bedroom, I knew we needed to turn our lusts into musts.
I didn’t find any exact replicas of the modern orange chest of drawers Jamie picked out (she has great taste, doesn’t she?), but I did find a few that may be along the lines of what she’s looking for—for as much as $1,500 less! There’s a modern slate blue option if it’s a pop of color she has her heart set on. A sleek white design that draws your eye to its interesting off-centered drawer pulls. And a two-tone beauty whose white drawers could easily be spray-painted to stand out.
Which one would you choose? Do you have any other great spots to look for wallet-friendly finds? Jamie, Will and I thank you for any suggestions you might have!
