Chicco I-feel Rocker

It’s rare that I fall in love with a baby […]

It’s rare that I fall in love with a baby gear item. I tend to think they are bulky and aesthetically unpleasing to look at. But the Chicco I-feel Rocker is so beautiful with its wood base and range of colors that it fits perfectly with our decor. And that’s not the only reason I’m smitten.
iFeel Blue_360My son just so happens to adore the rocker and he’s loved it since the very day he came home from the hospital. We have a little dog who, at first, we weren’t sure would be able to handle a new baby in our home. Thankfully, we were able to put the rocker up on our coffee table and out of the sniffing (and licking!) range of our pup. It worked out perfectly.
During those very precious newborn days, our son found the rocker to be a great comfort. The padding is warm and soft and was perfect for snuggling. He was also safe and snug with the adjustable waist harness that held him steady. The harness also gave me peace of mind that he wouldn’t roll out (even though there wasn’t much rolling in those first weeks). To help him doze off, we would simply take our hand and rock him to sleep. Once he was out, we locked it in place.
As the days quickly passed and our monkey began to grow, the comfy rocker became a play area full of excitement. We were able to adjust the rocker to three levels of recline depending on our tiger’s mood. The rocker comes with a hanging bird that is white on one side and colored on the other. The toy is easily adjusted to change with baby’s evolving vision patterns. My kiddo’s favorite part of the entire rocker is the color-changing LED light that changes amid nature sounds, melodies and fun sound effects. I would like to tell you that the first time my baby smiled a real smile was when he was sitting with me and gazing into my eyes—the truth is it happened in this rocker while he was looking up at the light.
It didn’t take long for my guy to start cooing at the bird and reaching for it. Now, every morning while I eat my breakfast, he takes a little playtime in his rocker and has a daily chat with the bird that we’ve nicknamed Sally. Once he reaches, 20 pounds (and that’s right around the corner), I will be heartbroken at the fact that we will have to retire our gorgeous rocker to storage until the next little babe can enjoy it. The only good thing that comes from that is the I-feel rocker folds flat and won’t take up a lot of room in our attic.
I am so serious when I say that this amazing rocker has become a handy part of our everyday life and will always play a large role in the memories (and pictures) of our first baby’s first few months.
