When it comes to combining fashion and function, the folks at Babymel know what they’re doing. They consistently produce long-lasting diaper bags that look fabulous and boast plenty of features to make your life easier (and a little more organized). The Ella bag is no exception. She’s gorgeous, sturdy and practical—just the way I like ‘em.
On the outside, Ella is a gem. Stripes do it for me every time, and I love the brown straps and accents that add an extra bit of chicness to an already attractive design. She’s sized just right—not too big, not too small—and is easy to wipe clean when accidents happen. (Because you know they will.)
Pocket-wise she’s got a nice slip pocket in both front and back (perfect for my phone and keys) and an elasticized pocket on each side (perfect for baby’s cup and my bottle of water). The double straps offer a comfortable carry and are plenty long—but not too long. I love the included stroller strap option, which allows you to quickly and easily swap your bag from shoulder-mode to stroller-mode.
Inside, Ella’s light-colored interior makes it easy for you to find what you’re looking for. There are pockets aplenty: four elastic-topped (one bottle-sized on each end and two on one side), 1 long slip pocket with Velcro closure (perfect for the included changing mat), and a zipper pocket. An insulated bottle pouch is also included. The two elastic-topped pockets on the side are just right for diapers and wipes. The interior is also easy to wipe clean should the need arise.
A zipper closure tops Ella off, and her size and shape allow her to sit sturdily on the ground at the park without toppling over. Ella is definitely an all-around good buy and awesome bag. She’s well worth the price tag—only $110, less expensive than many other comparable bags, and built to last so you know you’ll get your money’s worth. She’d also make a great computer or travel bag post-baby days.
I’m confident that Ella and I will be together for a good long time. She’s highly recommended if you’re in the market!
