Introduce: 6-8 months
Prepare: Bake, boil or steam one sugar pumpkin until soft, then puree or mash with water (if he’s 8 months or older, add a dash of cinnamon); chill immediately.
Benefit: Fills your baby with Vitamin A, potassium, protein, iron, fiber and beta-carotene—which could reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.
Ingredient: Banana
Introduce: 4-6 months
Prepare: Peel and mash with water, formula or breast milk.
Benefit: Vitamins B6, B2 and C, as well as potassium and fiber. Good for the heart, blood pressure and it’s a natural antacid.
Ingredient: Avocado
Introduce: 4-6 months
Prepare: Slice or spoon out the meat, then mash or puree. Serve immediately.

promote healthy bones and lungs.
Ingredient: Sweet Potato or Yam
Introduce: 6-8 months
Prepare: Bake until soft. Then, peel and puree using water or milk to thin if necessary.
Benefit: Vitamins A and E, beta-carotene, potassium, and calcium. The fiber content aids in digestion.
