At the table

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, but I’m admittedly not the best cook in the world. While I usually manage to toss together a couple of decent dishes, it’s safe to say that I won’t be spending my day slaving away in the kitchen—I’d much rather be in the dining room, prettying up the table for the big meal. And quite frankly, I have just as much fun planning and decorating the kids’ table as I do the adults’. I expect nice table manners from my children, but I also like them to have fun with their meals. What’s Thanksgiving without a lot of laughter around the table(s)?
Here are the beginnings of what I imagine to be the ideal makings of a perfect set of Thanksgiving tables. A few of the items will actually be on the table for my favorite feast, and a few others are just on my wishlist. (Those cloth napkin rolls? Best thing since sliced bread.)
I can pretty much already smell the turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!
