4moms Cleanwater Infant Tub

I have always been a bit perplexed by bath time. After a day of messy feedings, diaper changes and exploration, my baby constantly ends up a little dirty. And when I place him in most regular bathtubs, I am simply just washing the dirt into his bath water and then, washing him off with the dirty water.
Not anymore, however, because I have found the answer to the dirty water crisis.
The 4moms Cleanwater Infant Tub is revolutionary to bath time. The design alone lets moms know that it was made with all of their concerns in mind. Dirty water? Not possible. A too-hot temperature? Not anymore. Convenient fit in the kitchen sink? Absolutely. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the infant tub the best I’ve ever seen.
Easy-to-read instructions.
Thank goodness for a manual written in “mommy language.” Every step from taking it out of the box to hooking it to the sink, is clear, concise and easily understood. The manual is divided into several different categories that are in chronological order and necessary to the process. You won’t find any useless information here. The most helpful of the categories is the “warnings” section with everything you need to look out for in big, bold letters with words like “always” and “never.” There is also a problem solution guide that I found extremely helpful. It simply states, “If you are having this problem: _____, then this is the solution: _____.” You can’t ask for easier to read instructions.
Simple assembly.
The Cleanwater Infant Tub comes almost fully assembled. You will want to make sure to get three AAA batteries (they aren’t included) before you take out your tub for use. To locate the battery compartment, just simply look on the bottom of the tub and use a coin to open and close the latch on the compartment. The second part that will need assembly is the spacer on the bottom of the tub, should the tub not fit properly into your sink. (Luckily, it fit perfectly into mine and will fit nicely into almost any two-basin model.) To attach the spacer, simply screw it onto the designated holes at the bottom tub. Just like that, the tub will be compatible with any sink. (Added bonus—the infant tub works well in a bathtub.)
Practical use.
Remember that dirty water theory that I mentioned early? Here’s where it gets good. The infant tub is designed for clean water to flow in while dirty water flows out, meaning that baby never has to sit in water with floating dirt particles. And mom does not need to worry if baby has a tinkle accident while in the tub (we all know it’s bound to happen) because it will flow right out of the sidewall drains. The bathtub is made to be used while the faucet runs, which might make you wonder about temperature control. 4moms thought of that too and you will find that your tub comes complete with a built-in digital temperature monitor. The monitor changes to three different colors to help you gage the water temperature. Blue means baby is too chilly, green is just perfect and red is too hot. If your water veers into the red then the monitor comes complete with warning beeps that let you know to turn it off and adjust the temperature. It’s like having two extra hands! When baby’s bath is over, simply remove the plugs from the sidewall and let the water drain. Cleanup is a snap because you only need a soft cloth and mild soap with water.
Just in case you haven’t been convinced of its amazing power, here’s a wrap-up of all the features that make it one-of-a-kind:
- Recommended for birth to 6+ months (or until baby can sit up unaided, usually between 5 and 8 months)
- Includes a Digital Spout Cover (which is different from the built-in monitor) for your bathtub that can be used when baby moves to the sitting up stage. It lets you check the temperature as the water is coming out and it guards against bumps and bruises when baby wiggles around.
- Comes in an aesthetically pleasing white and baby blue color.
- A color-coded digital thermometer makes it easy to set the perfect temperature
- Reservoir holds fresh water for rinsing
- Includes rinse cup
- Includes removable bath sponge for additional newborn support
- Includes a 6-month warranty
This is a must-have for any mom and baby at bath time. I would highly recommend this product to all of my friends. You can’t beat the peace-of-mind you gain from knowing all that dirt really is washing away.
