Follow these steps to beat it before you have to treat it.
Change it up
Warm, wet environments make ideal breeding grounds for yeast, so freshen baby’s diaper regularly.
Size it right
A too-small diaper also encourages yeast to grow. Switch to the next size when the current one becomes too tight.
Air it out
After you’ve wiped, wait a minute or two before putting on a clean diaper, so the area has time to dry out completely.
Rub it in
Apply a barrier cream at each change (and especially overnight) to create a layer of protection between baby’s bum and a soiled diaper.
