    Best for fitness-oriented folks

    B.O.B. Ironman $409

    Weight: 23 pounds / Capacity: 70 pounds

“An avid marathoner, I was concerned with how well I’d be able to maintain my usual pace while pushing a jogging stroller. I’m glad to report that with the Ironman I was able to do so with ease! My passenger was quite content to sit in the comfy seat while I huffed and puffed.”

Quinny Zapp Xtra with Folding Seat $349

    Weight: 19.6 pounds / Capacity: 50 pounds

“We were pleased to see the Zapp Xtra’s ultra compact fold (with the seat attached, which is an improvement over previous generations of the stroller). Its modern design attracts compliments wherever we go, and the reversible seat has been a huge plus.”

    Best for brand-new babes

    Graco SnugRider Elite $90

    Weight: 13.6 pounds / Capacity: 45 pounds

“I can’t begin to describe what a lifesaver the SnugRider Elite has been in our first weeks with baby. Our infant car seat clicks right in (just as easily as it attaches to an in-car base), and we’re strolling the aisles at Target in no time. The storage basket is huge, the two(!) cup holders are key, and the lightweight frame is a blessing for this tired mama’s back.”

    Best for growing family units

    phil&teds Dot $350 (second seat $140)

Weight: 26 pounds / Capacity: 44 pounds (main seat), 33 pounds (second seat)

“We just welcomed our second baby into the family (another girl!). We didn’t want a giant double stroller since our oldest is already 4 and doesn’t need to ride all the time, but we also wanted her to have a spot to sit when she’s tired or worn out. The Dot has provided just that and kept a slim profile. Score!”

    Best for value-seeking households

Baby Trend Expedition LX $135 (infant car seat $90)

    Weight: 27 pounds / Capacity: 50 pounds

“The Expedition LX is an incredible value. It works seamlessly with the Flex-Loc car seat as a (very slick looking) travel system, maneuvers with ease, and is even suited for short jogs around the neighborhood. The features of the stroller seem far more high-end than the price might suggest.”

    Best for active parents

    Baby Jogger Summit X3 $430

    Weight: 28 pounds / Capacity: 75 pounds

“The Summit X3’s seat is tall enough to accom-modate our 4-year-old but also reclines fully for use with our newbie (though not while actually jogging, of course). A handy lever near the handle- bar allows the front wheel to swivel or lock.”

Best for tribes who travel light

    Chicco Liteway Plus $180

Weight: 20 pounds / Capacity: 40 pounds (as stroller), 30 pounds (as travel system)

“The Liteway Plus is exactly what I’m looking for in a stroller: lightweight, affordable and car seat compatible. The brilliantly practical design allows the stroller to accommodate an infant car seat for baby’s early days, and then goes on to function as an anything-but-bulky toddler stroller when the time comes.”

    Best for luxury lovers

    Musty EVO $399 (bassinet $189)

    Weight: 26.7 pounds/ capacity: 55 pounds

“The EVO provides an impressively smooth ride and looks super sleek—I feel fancy pushing it around the block! The standard seat can be used facing forward or backward, and the bassinet (sold separately) is a nice perk when your passenger is a newborn.”

    Best for space-conscious clans

    Valco Baby Snap $250

    Weight: 13 pounds / Capacity: 44 pounds

“The highly maneuverable Snap is a perfect companion for errand-running. Its light weight makes it a breeze to load and unload from the car, and the generous sunshade protects from whatever elements we might face on the way from the parking lot to the store.”
