• Lemon can soothe your tummy—sniff a slice or add a wedge to your water.
• Try keeping a few crackers by your bed to eat as soon as you wake up. Low blood sugar after a night’s sleep can lead to nausea.
• Plain sugar popsicles taste good, help hydrate, and settle your stomach —all without filling you up.
• Sip carbonated beverages and eat small, high-protein meals throughout the day. One handy snack to have on hand is string cheese.
• Stay away from spicy foods that may irritate your sensitive belly.
• Talk to your doctor about whether acupuncture might be a helpful option.
• If brushing makes you feel nauseous, use less toothpaste.
• Take your vitamins with the meal you’re most likely to keep down. If you’re really feeling sick, it’s OK to skip a dose.
• Open a window—a cool, breezy house can ease the quease.
