From the time I took I positive pregnancy test, I knew I wanted to wear my baby. It seemed like such a good way to keep my baby close, to bond and to stay mobile with a little one in tow. Indeed, it is all those things and more, and one of my favorite tools in my babywearing arsenal is my Bundle Linen Sling.
The sling is incredible versatile and can be used from birth through toddlerhood in a variety of holds, including cradle, tummy-to-tummy and hip. (Bundle offers a few helpful tutorials on its website.) The sling is quick to put on and situate and doesn’t require any sort of acrobatics or awkward contortions to buckle or strap anything into place. Even my husband is a fan! (By the way, we love that the sling readily adjusts to fit either one of us, and I even love how it’s been able to accommodate my slowly-but-surely shrinking postpartum body.)
We received the Copper single layer sling, which is a warm, caramel-y color that’s positively beautiful. It goes with just about anything and is perfectly gender neutral for both the wearer’s sake and baby’s. It honestly feels like an accessory—as if donning a beautiful scarf. Truly, I feel like it adds to my outfit most days, rather than detracts. Sometimes I almost feel naked without it!
As our little one has grown, we’ve gotten loads of use out of the sling, and our darling squeals and kicks her legs in excitement when she sees she’s about to be loaded in for a ride. (Unless it’s naptime, in which case she quietly reaches for me and then snuggles right in for a cozy slumber while mama cleans or goes for a walk or sneaks in a meal. When she awakens, she often nurses even before I take her out.) The linen is breathable and because it’s just one layer, it’s one of the coolest carriers we have and our go-to for warm days.

In additional to being impressed with the quality of the sling, I was so pleased to read about its origins. Bundle makes its slings from start to finish right here in the USA. The linen comes from an American family business and is washed and dyed on US soil; the 100 percent aluminum rings come from a small family-owned and –operated business, and even the care labels are made in America. Oh, and they’re all sewn by seamstresses (many of whom are moms) in Nevada. Bundle’s practices seem both ethically sound and admirable, which makes it the kind of business I like to support.
The Bundle Linen Sling is easy to care for (machine wash, line dry) and convenient to pack in the diaper bag. (It’s quite compact.) It’s safe to say it’s become a cherished part of our early days as a family of three.
