spongebathUntil baby’s cord falls off, all his baths will be of the sponge variety. Bathe baby on a flat surface (such as the changing table) covered with a towel, and make sure you have all your supplies together ahead of time. Simply lay him on the towel, dip your washcloth in the water, squeeze out the excess, and begin to gently wash baby’s body clean. You might want to use the towel to cover the parts you aren’t washing so he doesn’t get chilly.
Good to know: There’s no need to bathe your baby every day. He’s not doing a whole lot to get dirty, so as long as you keep the diaper area clean, every few days is plenty often.
