There are a lot of ways to show the dad in your life some appreciation on his big day—but if you’re coming up blank on present ideas, then look no further.

Let’s be honest; when it comes to finding Father’s Day gifts, some dads can be incredibly difficult to shop for. While my own dad and father-in-law would be perfectly happy with a visit and a handmade gift by my kids, I like to do a little more than that when I can. As for my husband, he’s a very involved dad, so I like to put thought into his present rather than default to a random beer koozie or a generic coffee mug from the tiny “Father’s Day Gifts” section at my local Target. I feel incredibly fortunate to have him as my co-parent, and I want that sentiment to show.

Still, just because I want to be mindful about what I get the guys in my life doesn’t mean it’s always quick and easy. Some years, I find myself scratching my head until the last minute when I finally give in and Google suggestions. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no shame in this method, and if that’s what brought you here, welcome! I’ve gathered 15 products that will make for fantastic Father’s Day gifts, whether the dad in your life loves games, being outdoors, or could use a little pampering. At the very least, maybe these ideas can serve as inspiration to help you find the perfect gift.

Travel Charcoal Grill

Great for camping, tailgating, or for any on-the-go grilling situation (those happen, right?), the Everdure CUBE Portable Charcoal Grill allows Dad to make his famous burgers and hot dogs almost anywhere. It’s made of lightweight steel and has an integrated base that will keep your grilling surface safe from the heat of the burning charcoal. It also has a storage tray for tools and food, a bamboo cutting board for food prep, and is designed for easy cleanup. It’s large enough to cook up to six small burgers or three medium steaks at once, but it’s also compact enough to make storing it a breeze.

Darth Vader Drink Set

What says Father’s Day more than one of cinema’s most iconic Dads, Darth Vader? (Though he’s also arguably one of the worst dads, but let’s ignore that for now.) This Star Wars Darth Vader Etched Glasses and Ice Molds Set comes with two dishwasher-safe 8.5-ounce glasses that feature The Dark Lord’s mask. There are also two Darth Vader-shaped silicone ice molds in the set, so Dad’s drink will both stay and look cool. If Dad isn’t a cocktail glass kind of guy, there are plenty of other fun Star Wars kitchen products to consider.

Mini Backgammon Game

Backgammon is a favorite in my family—it’s simple enough for my 6-year-old to play without being too kid-friendly for my husband and me to enjoy. Sets can be surprisingly expensive, though, which is why I love this Gray Malin Beach Backgammon Set for only $40. This compact set, measuring in at just 12 inches long, comes in a game box with a built-in board, trays for the pieces, four wooden dice, a wood doubling cube, and 30 wooden game pieces.

Baby-Wearing Shirt

As handy as baby wraps are, some of us (me) find them really difficult to tie. If you’re shopping for a new dad this Father’s Day, consider making things a little easier on him with a Lalabu Dad Shirt. Available in five neutral shades, the Dad Shirt fits like a traditional tee and features a pouch on the front for keeping baby close and comfortably snug. It’s strong enough to hold babies up to 15 pounds or up to 5 months old, whichever comes first, and is safe to toss into the washing machine after a long day of babywearing—and likely spit-up.

Ballparks Book

If he’s a fan of baseball and history, then Lost Ballparks by Dennis Evanosky and Eric J. Kos makes for an excellent gift. This hardcover coffee table book is filled with photos and stories of baseball stadiums that were once beloved by fans but have since been demolished. Dating as far back as the early 1900s, this book features historic stadiums nationwide, such as The Union Grounds in Brooklyn, New York, Shibe Park in Philadelphia, Huntington Avenue Grounds in Boston, and many others.

Family Matching Swim Trunks

Are your kids tiny clones of their father? What better way to say “twinsies” than to have the whole crew wear matching bathing suits this summer—like the Men’s Sunset Beach Boardshorts from LainSnow. These swim trunks are available in several prints and lengths and either coordinate with or match the kids’ and women’s styles. Each suit runs true to size, is made without a liner, and features pockets.

Graphic Tee

If there’s one thing most dads will love, it’s a graphic tee—but the Dad Sneakers Graphic Tee from Barstool takes things to a whole new level. Available in navy blue or ivory, this 100% cotton T-shirt features a pair of technically generic but clearly identifiable classic dad sneakers. In case it’s not obvious enough, the sneakers design includes a “Dad” label across the side of the front shoe, so there is no room for misunderstanding. Just add a pair of white tube socks and some khaki cargo shorts, and Papa’s got a brand-new ‘fit!

Vinyl Record Player

Whether it’s so Pops can listen to his old-school classics or for the young hipster dad who wants to enjoy some tunes without needing his phone, the ByronStatics Vinyl Record Player is a budget-friendly way to help him jam out. Its compact case is available in three colors and is equipped with speakers for an all-in-one system. If you want to make sure the music is loud enough to flow through the house, opt for the model that will either play through the system or can be paired with a Bluetooth speaker for more range. With over a 4-star rating on Amazon and more than 13,000 reviews, this little record player is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Beer and Cheese Bundle

The Vermont Cheddar and Ale Party Pack from Cabot Creamery is a must-have for the guy who loves beer and cheese. This bundle comes with beer-infused mustard, handmade artisan pickles, alehouse cheddar crackers, and three packs of cracker-sized sliced cheeses. Gift this to him on its own, or take it up a notch by also including a hot pretzel baking mix for enjoying with the infused mustard.

Men’s Skincare Set

For nearly 200 years, Kiehl’s has created gentle formulas for all skin types and conditions. If the dad in your life is interested in beginning a skincare routine, then the Facial Fuel Power Pack Set is a good place for him to start. It includes a 15-milliliter scrub, a 75-milliliter face wash, a 75-milliliter moisturizing treatment, and a no-shine moisturizing lip balm that all work together to give his skin a more energized appearance (which may be particularly helpful for the new dad suffering from sleep deprivation at the hands of his newborn). The formulas are paraben-free and include ingredients like pure vitamin C, menthol, and caffeine.

Printed Golf Polo

Whether he loves to golf or just needs a lightweight performance polo to help him get through the hot summer, a featherweight polo from Peter Millar is an excellent choice. There are several styles to choose from, including basic solid colors and stripes to fun patterns—our favorite is the Sangria Season print. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking, and offers UPF 50+ protection. It’s designed as a standard fit and is safe for the washing machine and dryer.

Novelty Bottle Opener

Add a little color and fun to his summer bar with this beach umbrella bottle opener from Business and Pleasure Co. The multi-colored enamel umbrella is made with a mix of coastal navy blue, ivory, pink, and mustard yellow hues, and the tool includes a classic bottle opener and corkscrew. It’s a simple gift, sure, but it’s one that will likely make him smile when he opens it.

Child Seat Bike Attachment

As a kid, I loved nothing more than riding on the back of my parents’ bikes as they peddled through the neighborhood (and I sat and enjoyed the breeze without exerting any energy). If Dad is a bike rider, the Schwinn Deluxe Bicycle Mounted Child Seat will allow him a safe way to bring his kiddo along on his excursions. It’s made to safely hold a child who is at least 1 year old and weighs under 40 pounds. The cushioned seat features a three-point harness, leg rests and straps, and a padded lap bar for extra safety, and it’s designed to fit most standard bike frames. Just make sure your little one has an appropriately sized helmet that fits them well, and send them off on adventures (while you enjoy some quiet).

Coffee Subscription

It doesn’t matter what stage of parenthood he’s in, caffeine is a must for most dads. To change up his coffee game a bit, sign him up for a coffee subscription from Fellow. Choose between two plans: classic—which delivers a mix of single-origin coffees in either dark or light roasts, or premium—which offers all fresh crop single-origin coffees in light roasts that are exclusive to the season. Each bag of whole-bean coffee is roasted to order, and you can customize how many bags you want in each two or four-week delivery (each bag will be a different variety). This subscription makes the process of keeping the caffeine stocked as easy as possible.

The Latest Zelda Game

OK, hear me out: If your co-parent likes to dabble in video games now and then, the newly released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may be a very welcome, highly anticipated gift. The first game of the series was released back in 1986, and the 2017 release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold nearly 30 million copies/downloads worldwide, making it one of Nintendo’s best-selling games. Tears of the Kingdom was just released on May 12, 2023, and sold 10 million copies/downloads in the first three days. So, if Dad has a Nintendo Switch and doesn’t already have this game, he would probably be thrilled to escape to the fantasy world of Hyrule this Father’s Day.

Remember, Father’s Day is June 18, so the clock is ticking. Any of these products would make for a great gift; it’s just a matter of adding to your cart and making sure it will arrive on time. And if you’re stressed out because you cut it too close to the big day, never underestimate the value of a gift card from one of his favorite places and a meaningful card. As long as he knows how much he’s loved, Dad will appreciate whatever you give him.
