Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 SmartClean High Chair

We received the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 SmartClean High Chair as we were moving from an apartment into our first home, and it was one of the first things that was unpacked.

The setup was simple, the instructions were easy to follow, and it only took about 10-15 minutes to complete. Another nice thing was that no tools were needed. I set it up while my husband was at work! Initially my husband and I both thought the seat seemed a little chintzy, but after using it with no problems we realized it is just super lightweight!

I have three kids ages 3, 2 and 10 months and all three have fit in the seat comfortably and buckled into the harness system easily. (In full-size and booster seat modes, it’s a five-point harness; in toddler chair mode, it’s a three-point harness.) It is simple to adjust the buckles between each kid and roomy enough for the toddler, yet supportive enough for the baby. The seat itself has three different recline positions, from sitting straight up to leaning back a little bit. We love adjusting it to accommodate each kiddo’s preferences.

The tray has four adjustments, so it can pulled in right up next to each kid as they age and get bigger. The manual suggested to start using the highchair at about 6-months-old (or once baby can sit up) and  to use until your child is up to 50 pounds, and I will be following those guidelines.

The seat has foam cushions instead of cloth, and we love that. It makes it so easy to just wipe down and clean, no matter what is spilled on it. No more washing a cloth seat every time milk spills! The tray on the highchair is removable and has two layers. Both parts—the tray and the tray insert—are dishwasher-safe.

The highchair itself is perfect for our kitchen and has wheels on the bottom that lock, which makes it easy to move for cleaning and from room to room (or even outside if needed). The base is 3 feet wide which is great for stability (although not so great if you have a small kitchen or an apartment).

The Smart Clean Trio has three different options for use: It can be a full-size highchair, a booster seat and a toddler seat. It is great if, like me, you have a couple of kids who still need a highchair, or if you have a friend with kids coming over. You can actually use it to seat two kids at once because the booster and toddler seat can be used simultaneously.
I would recommend this product to any of my friends—we have been using it with all three of our kids without any complaints. We have the aqua color, and it works for boys and girls. We will continue to use this product for quite some time!
