While the average adult needs between 7 and 8 hours of sleep a night, a pregnant gal might find herself needing a few extra hours to keep her energy level up to par. Inconveniently enough, many women find it hard to get any sleep at all during pregnancy, much less 10 hours. Try these tips for keeping up with your ZZZs.

Nap when you can. Although sleeping a solid stretch at night is best for your overall health, catnaps throughout the day can give you a much-needed boost.

Create a routine. A regular nighttime ritual will let your body know it’s time to shut down and catch some ZZZs.

Stay active. If you get plenty of exercise during the day, you’ll sleep better at night.

Get comfortable. A big, cozy maternity pillow and the right amount of covers might just make you comfy enough to drift off to dreamland.
