Just because you can barely pull your tried and true blues over those swollen ankles doesn't mean all bets are off when it comes to tracking down a pair of jeans that not only fit, but make you look and feel good. In fact, it may be easier than you think.

Buy maternity denim in your pre-preggo size. (Mama-to-be apparel is already cut to accommodate your baby bump.)

Opt for a dark, solid wash for a flattering, pulled-together look that can be dressed up or down: an important consideration since you'll likely have a slimmed down wardrobe.

Choose under-belly or over-belly styles based on your comfort preferences; many gals go for under-belly early on and switch to over-belly during their final months.

Try on various styles and brands until you find a favorite. You'll be wearing those bad boys a lot, so it's worth a little effort (and sometimes a little extra cash) to get a pair that rates high in comfort, style and fit.
