Taggies Ring Ring Phone

A few weeks ago, my six-month old began chewing on the tags on his activity gym, exersaucer, and pretty much everything else he could get his hands on. I knew it was time to introduce him to the adorable toys by Taggies

Taggies blankets and toys were created by a mom who observed the same thing with her kids that I’ve been observing with Charlie—babies adore tags, satin edges, and clothing labels. Since Charlie is obsessed with phones as well as tags, the Taggies Ring Ring Telephone seemed like an obvious choice for us. It has quickly become one of his favorites. He loves the bright colors, realistic phone noises, music, and, of course, the tags! It also has a small mirror for a screen that always seems to catch his eye. This toy is perfect to clip onto a car seat, activity gym, or just to play with alone. I’ve been keeping ours on the changing table to distract Charlie while I’m changing his diaper.

We also tried out My First Taggies Book: If You’re Happy and You Know It. One of the things that I really looked forward to while I was pregnant was being able to read books to my son. Unfortunately, Charlie hasn’t always loved being read to, but I have stuck with it and he’ll finally sit still long enough for me to read short books to him. If You’re Happy and You Know It is one of his new favorites. The pictures are nice and bright, with cute characters and familiar words. It isn’t too long and is able to hold his attention while I read to him, usually a few times in a row. He loves to rub the tags as I read (and chew on the corners when I’m not looking!).

Taggie toys are great and would make a nice addition to any baby’s toy box. There are lots of toys available, from balls to baby dolls, and they also make blankets, clothing and other odds and ends for babies. I’m a fan!
