Baby Kaed Shanti
Extra, extra! Baby Kaed's Shanti bag is truly a news-worthy piece of arm candy for the trendy mom.
It's a butter-soft, lightweight bag that's easy to load up and carry; it can dress up for a dinner out with the family or dress down for an afternoon at the park. The matte metallic finish looks great with white, black, brown and pretty much every other shade on the spectrum. At first glance, the Shanti is a gorgeous leather bag with a subtle metallic sheen (shh, don't tell anyone that it's really faux leather) and outer pocket detailing that's noticeable from across the room—love those tassels! On closer inspection, the Shanti also sports the custom details that really matter in a great bag—cute label plates on the outside and inside, coordinating zipper pulls, matte brass-tinted hardware, quality zippers and thoughtfully placed pockets that are really usable. The large, elasticized front pockets are great for keeping snacks (for you and for baby) or favorite toys within reach. The large back pocket with magnetic closure is the perfect place to tuck the latest issue of P&N (wink, wink) with a small cell phone pocket within. But my favorite exterior feature may be the mini zippered pockets on both ends of the bag—they're just the right size for hiding a key, a couple of credit cards and the pair of earrings baby just pulled out of your lobes.
The interior is just as mom-friendly. First of all, it's spacious enough to carry all your daily gear but not so big that it will turn into a black hole. And the pockets are perfectly sized for diapers, wipes, bottles, snacks and toys. (You can just tell this bag was designed by a mom, right??) The zippered accessories bag in matching "leather" is just right for holding mom's necessities. The drawstring bag, pacifier pouch and padded changing pad are the same neutral-toned, easy-clean nylon as the bag's interior. With all these extras, the price tag is hard to believe—that's value fit to print!
