Going on a babymoon? You lucky duck! Not sure what to pack? We’re here to help. Here’s some outfit inspiration for your days of travel, relaxation and romance (ooh la la).
First up: Getting to your destination! Now, in the PanAm era, air travel was glamorous and passengers dressed to the nines. I love fantasizing about those days, but the reality is I like to be comfortable en route. You too? Perfect. Pull on a basic tee and leggings, slip on some brightly colored kicks (that you won’t have to bend over to lace up after you’ve removed them for the security checkpoint), and strap on a watch so you can count down the minutes until you arrive—even when your electronic devices are powered down.

Arrived safely? Hooray! Time to head to the beach. I’m a fan of flaunting that baby bump in a cute little bikini (let’s be honest: it’s probably the tautest that tummy will be for a while), but you can choose something more modest (like the suit featured here) if you’re feeling shy about it. Grant yourself a break from the prenatal literature and read something nonbaby-related as you soak up the rays (under the protection of sunscreen and a hat, of course).

Finally, let’s talk about appropriate attire for that candlelit dinner for two on the beach your partner was kind enough to arrange (hint, hint, partners). A maxi dress both looks and feels fantastic and a pretty printed scarf is essential for breezy nights. Adding a stack of bangles makes the look feel a little fancier, and a swipe of perfume? Well, your travel companion might not know what hit him.
