I love the freedom a backpack diaper bag offers (two free arms!), so I jumped at the chance to try out the TWELVElittle Companion Backpack. It’s a very stylish bag. The color is vibrant, and the material is very fashionable and durable. It is made from water-resistant coated quilted nylon, and when I tried out the bag in a rainstorm (not part of the plan, but these things happen!), I found that it dried quickly. I also really love the gold zippers—they are not only quite the chic statement but also seem to be very sturdy and long lasting.
TWELVElittle1I was impressed with how comfortable this bag was to carry. The shoulder straps are padded and easy to adjust—an important feature for us, since my husband and I frequently take turns holding the bag—and the back panel is also padded, which truly makes the bag more comfortable to carry than a traditional backpack.

Where organization is concerned, this backpack scores major points. There are pockets on the outside for bottles, and a couple of zipper pockets for things you need to get to quickly or frequently. On the back side, there is a hidden zipper pocket on bottom where you can store dirty or wet items that you don’t want to keep with all your gear. There are also pockets on the inside, and a large amount of storage space. The whole thing zips closed at the top. The interior lining is coated with PVC-free water-resistant coating, so it’s easy to wipe clean messes or spills, and you don’t have to worry about something spilling and leaking through your bag.

The Companion Backpack comes with a changing pad, and it folds smaller than the one I have been using, which I like because it takes up less space in the bag.
Overall, I am very pleased with this bag. I love how it looks, and it is very well made. It seems to me that the people at TWELVElittle put a lot of thought into creating the “perfect” diaper bag. They did a great job with the Companion Backpack!
