I’m a fan of bags of all kinds, so I consider my diaper bags a fashion accessory. Right now, I have a major crush on my Pink Lining Wanderlust Rucksack changing bag. The exterior has a lovely cream bow print on a peppermint green, and the pink lining is water resistant, which makes cleanup a breeze!
The first thing I noticed when I received this bag is how durable it is. It’s 100 percent cotton canvas laminated with EVA coating, so all you need is a damp cloth for a quick wipe down. It’s a little heavy even when empty but it is worth it for the quality of the bag.
The Rucksack has three separate compartments with an insulated front pocket. The middle compartment opens up flat to help with changing, and the last compartment is for mommy. Most of the diaper bags I have used in the past have only a few internal pockets, but this bag has so much more. That is another reason I love this bag—its endless amount of internal features, such as the insulated section, pen holder, key fob, detachable mirror, phone pocket, zip and mesh pockets. Everything has a place of its own, so it’s easy to find what I need right away. Another feature I like is that there is a special pocket for diapers, which keeps diapers from getting shoved to the bottom and buried.
A lovely cushy changing mat is included as well, and there is a large slip pocket to store it. The bag also includes a cupcake print zip wet bag for wet wipes or dirty clothes. The main compartments zip close preventing the items from falling out, so I do not have to worry about my son’s toy cars falling out.
Even with all the compartments and pockets (if you care to do the math, that’s three large compartments divided into five mesh pockets, three zip pockets, one large slip pocket, one zip wet bag and two open side pockets), the bag is comfortable to carry thanks to its padded adjustable shoulder straps.
My only complaints would be that it doesn’t convert into any other configurations, and it lacks stroller straps and feet at the bottom.
I have been using this diaper bag since the day it arrived, and I love it. It has room enough for everything … except for maybe a weekend at at grandma’s.
