LuckyBabyWorldIf you’re looking for a way to keep your baby close without breaking a sweat, you’re in luck: The SUPPORi baby carrier from Lucky Baby World is a dream come true for summertime baby-wearing mamas. It’s made from a triple-stitched, knitted polyester that doesn’t retain heat, and it is super lightweight. The material has plenty of stretch but is still strong enough to safely hold baby close to you. You do have to keep a hand on baby, so you don’t get the total hands-free ease you get from a more structured carrier, but you can’t beat the sweat-free experience of carrying a baby on hot days. You’ll both be happy!
Like all sling-type carriers, the SUPPORi is a breeze to use. You simply sling it across your shoulder, slide in baby, and get to carrying. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all carrier, so you have to measure yourself (you can find a guide on their website) to see what size you will need. I was a little worried that I would mess up the measuring somehow, but it was pretty easy and the sizing ended up being perfect. However, it doesn’t work at all on my husband since we’re very differently sized, so he isn’t able to share the carrier (or the baby toting).
I love that this sling is small enough that it truly folds down to almost nothing and slips into the diaper bag with ease. I’m a fan of simple things, so this carrier fits the bill for our family perfectly. It is only for children that can sit unsupported, though, so it wouldn’t work for a newborn. However, its stretchiness and versatility means that it can be used well into your baby’s toddlerhood, so it’s still a product that you will get a lot of use out of. (The top weight limit is 33 pounds.)
You can toss the SUPPORi carrier in the washing machine when necessary and then lay it flat to dry. It is available in a variety of colors. This carrier has won several awards and is one of the top selling baby carriers in Japan (who knew?). I love baby-wearing and it’s many benefits, and I am a fan of this carrier. It is an affordable, easy way to keep your baby close.
