As a new parent, I admit I can be a tad anxious. I once spilled ginger ale in my baby’s ear while I was nursing him and all but called poison control. But there are a few things I don’t feel crazy for being vigilant about, and one is ensuring that the temperature of my baby’s bath isn’t too hot (or too cold).
That’s why I was excited to try out the Mobi TempTub Floating Safety Bath Thermometer. This cute little ladybug will easy as pie tell you the temperature of baby’s bath water, putting your mind at total ease when you slip his tiny body into the soapy water for the first time. The “too-hot”indicator even makes a noise to audibly indicate when the water is too warm for baby’s safety, so that if you space out between putting the TempTub in the water and lowering your baby in (which is totally possible when you’re going on as little sleep as a parent of a newborn usually is), you’ll hear the warning first. Additionally, the thermometer will flash its LED indicator to let you know when the temperature is not ideal. It comes on automatically, and reads the temperature constantly, until you remove it and it shuts off itself.
And though its primary use is for my baby, my big kids love it too—it’s made its way into their bath toy rotation! If you’ve got a baby on the way, add the Mobi TempTub to your “to-buy” list. It’s not a lot of money for a whole lot of peace of mind!
