While planning a recent trip to Disney World that would include three kids under the age of 5, I knew that a good stroller was a must-have—it could seriously make or break our trip.
A tandem seemed to be the way to go, and when I began doing some research, one stroller stood above the crowd: The Joovy Caboose Ultralight. Since I’ve reviewed—and loved—their Kooper stroller in the past, I was pretty sure I’d feel the same way about the Caboose. I definitely wasn’t disappointed!
JoovyCabooseUltralightWhen you’re pushing two kids and trying to maneuver a stroller around Disney World, there are two things that are an absolute must: easy steering and a not-to-heavy stroller. Double strollers can be big and bulky, even the tandem styles, but the Joovy Caboose Ultralight is very streamlined and lightweight. And it pushes like a dream—we zoomed around crowds and swung into doorways with no problem. The sun canopy was also great—even thought it wasn’t overly sunny when we visited the park in early February, we tried it out and found that it offers excellent coverage and would serve its purpose well in brighter months.
When we were hopping on and off buses, the Ultralight folded up nicely (it does require two hands, though). While I did see several other Joovy Caboose strollers, ours was the only green one for the day, so I had no problem spotting it when it was relocated slightly while we were in line for a ride (hate it when that happens!). And best of all, the three riders (only two rode at a time, of course!) could easily hop on and off, and the back bench seat didn’t feel as baby-ish to the bigger kids as a side-by-side would have. The standing option is great as well.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. It’s very well made and is also an attractive, sleek stroller that comes in great color options, which always makes it a little more fun. It comes with a car seat adaptor for an infant seat (which we didn’t use) and a parent organizer (which we did). If you’re in the market for a tandem, definitely check out the Joovy Caboose Lightweight to see if it meets your needs. It is designed for children from 6 months to 45 pounds and is available at babiesrus.com.
