The Graco MyRide 65 Convertible car seat is one of the easiest baby products we’ve come across because all you do is take it out of the box and it is ready to use. My husband in particular was very impressed with the sturdiness of the car seat and all the padding for extra support for baby! He kept referring to the seat as “a beast.”
The seat is very easy to install in the car. It has picture based directions directly on the car seat for forward-facing or rear-facing instructions. A visual level is on the side of the seat to let you know when the seat is correctly positioned. The straps are easily adjusted and do not twist because of the thick webbing from which they are made. The seat comes with some removable cushions that provide extra support.
The Graco MyRide is a convertible car seat meaning that it can grow with baby. My babies are tall and grow quickly out of the infant carrier. We always end up having to buy a new car seat before the end of the first year. I like that this car seat will keep us going from birth until we are ready for a booster. The seat is designed to hold an infant in the rear facing position up to 40 pounds and a toddler in the forward facing position up to 65 pounds.
The car seat is probably best suited for a van or SUV, but could easily go into a smaller car as well. We have to have four car seats in our van and this one goes in one of the middle seats.
One of my favorite features of this seat is that the cup holders are built into the car seat. In the past, we have had removable cup holders that stick out, are in the way and fall off easily. The car seat is also easy to clean. You could spot clean or simply remove the cover and throw it into the washer. The cup holder can be wiped out with a cleaning cloth as it is plastic.
The Graco MyRide is not an expensive car seat, especially considering that it could possibly work for your child for up to five years.
