When we found out we were having twins, after the initial hoopla of excitement, I started getting concerned with where we would put all the stuff. Ihad seen how much room gear for one baby could take up, and we were going to double that!Space-saving was a must. So when Iheard about the Graco Duo 2-in-1 Swing Bouncer, I thought, “Solution!”
When we received the swing, it came in a box, and I will say that it took a good bit of doing to put it together. It's a formidable piece of gear, so that wasn't entirely unexpected, but if you're faced with the assembly of one, put aside at least an hour.
The really great thing about the Duo is that it's a swing and vibrating bouncy seat all in one. The bouncy seats are super easy to remove from the swings and equally as easy to reattach. The bouncy seat has a vibration feature, which is nice, but watch out on hardwood floors—it can sound like a jackhammer! The tray can be tricky to attach and reattach as well—our squirmy, chunky-legged girls got accidentally pinched a couple of times as we tried to click them into place. Also, the toys on the bar above are adorable, but I found myself wishing they were within reach—sometimes the girls would reach for them to grab, but couldn't get anywhere close.
I really like the three setting feature for the seat on the swing. It can be laid back pretty flat so the baby just rests there or it can be more like they're sitting up. And it's easy to adjust between the three settings. Also, I find the colors of the swing to be a nice relief after all the bold, bright, primary plastic we have going on everywhere. The more subtle tan and maroon are a welcome relief.
All in all, for the price and what you're getting, this swing/bouncer combo is a great deal that will give you a lot of bang for your buck.
