    Go GaGa Slide Tote

    Go GaGa Slide Tote

It’s true—I’ve totally fallen for Go GaGa’s Slide Tote Bag.

And my crush isn’t just based on physical attraction. I mean, sure, this urban tote is sleek, mod and even a little rugged. But our relationship is so much deeper than it’s blue-hued exterior. It doesn’t just sit around looking pretty; this showstopper is a true giver, performing every bit as exceptionally as its outer appearance requires.

First and foremost, let me draw your attention to its patented ergonomic strap, which distributes the weight of all those diapers, wipes and Cheerios across your back. That’s right: the strap spreads to cover your shoulder (much like a sling does) and thus prevents that dreaded strap-digging-into-the-shoulder-and-borderline-cutting-off-your-circulation pain we all know and detest.

I lugged this bad boy around several airports for several hours over spring break and never once had to complain of any aching. I was so relieved (and so was my travel partner)! Of course, if you’re not feeling the sling thing, you can just shimmy the ultra cushy shoulder pad to the top of the strap for a still comfy carry. Perfect.

As long as we’re on the topic of straps, let’s talk briefly about the stroller straps, which, obviously, allow for easy stroller attachment. But, let me also add that they do a rockin’ job of holding my mat on the way to mommy-and-me yoga. Hello, convenience.

While the straps might have been what won me over initially, I’ve come to know this gem of a bag on a much deeper level. Let me brag to you about a few of its other to-die-for qualities.

    • Bottle pockets. The two (very cool looking, I might add) insulated bottle holders do just what their name indicates. Let me specify though that the kind of bottle is anything but specific. They fit water bottles, baby bottles and—get this—even wine bottles. (Seriously! How cool is that?)
    • Interior organization. With no less than five inside pockets (of varying sizes to accommodate various goods), this bag has a spot for everything. Plus, it has a removable Velcro divider, so you can keep your things separate from baby’s (or clean clothes separate from dirty). To haul your laptop (up to 14”), just remove the divider and slide your computer right in. Easy peasy.
    • Extras. A snazzy bag needs snazzy accessories. This one comes with a roomy changing mat and a cool wipes case.

I couldn’t speak more highly of this versatile bag. It’s a great pick for both moms and dads. It’s fine craftsmanship makes it suitable for the working parents and guarantees it’ll hold up through an outdoorsy family’s wildest adventures. Plus, just so you know, this Slide Tote Bag was manufactured in Vietnam by a fair trade certified company, so you can feel good about your purchase inside and out. Hooray!
