My son, Cole, has suffered from the skin condition known as eczema since 4 months of age. It appeared suddenly and vengefully after I stopped nursing and has been an annoyance ever since. It first appeared on his cheeks as dry, red patches and then spread to his upper arms, the area behind his knees, and to his ankles. He was constantly scratching at his face, which caused a small amount of bleeding and scabbing.

Being very concerned, I probably bought every product and treatment available in stores. I have tried oatmeal baths and moisturizers, aloe and vitamin e baby lotion, therapeutic relief cream, and baby oil—all of which had no real results. Exederm’s products are the only on-the-shelf treatments that have yielded any real relief.

Exederm’s Ultra Sensitive Skincare for eczema or dermatitis product line, I believe, is a must have for babies with eczema. While other products have offered little to no results, Exederm’s products have been a huge help in controlling his eczema. Their product line includes a cleansing baby wash, hydrating baby lotion, and an intensive baby moisturizer. I personally use all three as a daily regimen. I use the hydrating baby lotion at every diaper change. The lotion is color-free, paraben-free, fragrance-fee, and SLS/SLES free. It is creamy, non-greasy and easy to apply. I noticed a reduction in the redness on my son’s face probably within the first two or three times I applied it.

I follow up with the intensive baby moisturizer at night, which is also free of harsh chemicals. The moisturizer is a thick and velvety cream that goes on very smooth. The cleansing baby bath is a light, hypoallergenic wash that does not irritate or acerbate my son’s eczema like most baby washes do. I use it every time I bathe him. Both the lotion and moisturizer are sold for $14.99 on Exederm’s website and the wash is available at $12.99. I feel these prices are definitely reasonable for the results they offer. I would definitely recommend these products to all moms.

    Price: $13-$15
