    Chicco KeyFit 30

    Chicco KeyFit30 in Red

When talking to my friends and fellow new mothers about safety and car seats, one name kept coming up in conversations. The name was Chicco, and many moms had great things to say about this brand and the KeyFit 30.The buzz surrounding the KeyFit 30 is worth listening to: This system is extremely easy to install. It has bubble levels on its stationary base to help guide the parent in securing the child safely, and the base is also handy because it stays in the car and the seat is easy to remove with baby undisturbed. This feature is valuable, especially if your little one just dozed off in the car and you would like him/her to sleep a bit while you run errands!

Another key feature of this infant seat is that it works with the LATCH system. Most vehicles manufactured after September 1st, 2002 have the LATCH feature. (Refer to your owner’s manual to see if you have LATCH and how the system can work for you.) I used the LATCH feature and the KeyFit 30 was secure in just four steps! If your car does not have LATCH, don’t worry, you can install the infant seat by using the rear seat belts. The infant seat can also be used without the base, so if grandma wants to take her new addition for the weekend, junior will be safe!

This model was tested on an 8-pound infant. It was really a breeze to get her in and out of the seat, and the infant harness is easy to adjust and secure. The harness adjuster is extremely easy to tighten as well as release. My little one also appeared to be very snug and comfortable in the seat, and there is a canopy to use with an additional sun blocker/visor if needed.

This infant seat is rated #1 in easiest installation, but I also think that it ranks pretty high in style. The Key Fit 30 is sharp looking, with a plush contrasting quilted infant harness attachment, fun color blocking fabric, and many colors/patterns to choose from.

I would recommend this infant seat to all the expectant mothers I know—I trust the name Chicco and I would buy other products from them for my little one!
