You know you’ve found a great diaper bag when you accidentally bring it to the office instead of your purse and your co-workers compliment you and ask where you got it.
Yes, I speak from experience and, no, I didn’t admit that it was my diaper bag. I just soaked up their kind words and thanked goodness for licensed character-free totes. Its slouchy hobo look doesn’t so much as hint at its diaper bag identity. And it’s hidden, insulated bottle pockets deter any suspicions of a morning bag mix-up.
Babymel was established by the founders of one of my favorite diaper bag makers, Storksak, so I’m not surprised by the Amanda bag’s fabulous style. The company’s goal is “to offer parents attractive and functional diaper bags at fantastic prices,” which is particularly awesome for those of us without unlimited budgets. The quality is excellent and the design is entirely practical. There’s plenty of organization and the Amanda hangs easily on the stroller. It’s not a haul-everything kind of diaper bag, but it is a hold-quite-a-bit bag—perfect for a trip to the mall (or, apparently a day at the office). I swapped this bag out for my old diaper bag the day it came in the mail, and haven’t switched back since. I love it!
