As a mom and taxi driver to five boys, I knew I needed a reliable highchair for my family.
Let me start off by saying that I have not bought a highchair in 14 years, so my househould was in need of a major upgrade. My oldest son is 14 years old and my fifth son is 5 months old and getting ready for table time with our family. The minute I saw my BabyBjorn High Chair, I fell in love.
BABYBJORN High Chair_P2Let’s start with the look. I love the white chair with navy trim. The chair is sleek and very compact; it even folds up for storage in a closet, pantry or even a smaller apartment. I love the plastic surface of the chair, there are absolutely no places for crumbs, juice or playdough to hide. You can even pop off the tray and put it in the dishwasher.
There are great safety measures that are built-in the chair, there is a waist seatbelt which is easy for parents to use, but not too easy for a crafty 2-year-old to escape. The seatbelt has a middle support and snaps in on each side. The tray fits nice and snug to my little guy and can be adjusted further out while he grows. The seat is very ergonomic and curves to my baby’s back so he does not lean to the right or left. As I said earlier my guy is only 5 months old so the seat is amazing to support such a little guy who is just beginning to get his head and neck control down. To adjust the tray from the down position to a locked eating position takes a push and turn movement so it’s very secure.
Assembly was a snap. My 12-year-old and I put the chair together in 5 minutes! Super Easy!
Compared to other highchairs I’ve had in the past, this one is a home run. I love the compact size, the nice rounded seat, great safety measures and the confidence of the BabyBjorn name behind it. I would certainly buy this for a friend having a new baby. Can’t wait to watch my little guy use the chair for many years to come.
