    Baby Trend Expedition LX

    Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogger

When my husband and I were picking out a stroller to use for our first child, we both agreed that we wanted something that would be lightweight and easy to store that could keep up with our active family. The Baby Trend Expedition LX was the perfect stroller for us.

After hearing many horror stories about stroller assembly, I was dreading putting the stroller together. But much to my surprise, the instruction manual was clear with precise illustrations, and we had baby’s new wheels ready to go in no time. We didn’t even have to use tools—it was so easy! Eager to put it through the ringer, we quickly found the Expedition LX to be easy to fold and fit nicely into the hall closet and trunk of my husband’s Ford Taurus.

The stroller is available in many patterns and color combinations; we love the brown and pink “Sophie” pattern that we got for our little girl. The colors are bold, and the material is comfortable while still allowing spills to be quickly wiped off with a wet cloth. The all-terrain bike tires on the stroller can hold up to every surface—including Grandma’s long gravel driveway. The stroller has MP3 speakers that are compatible with iPods and most other MP3 players so you can listen to baby’s favorite songs (or teach baby mom’s favorite songs) while taking a stroll through the neighborhood. The stroller also has two cup holders, a removable snack tray, a large canopy with a peek-a-boo window and a roomy storage basket to hold baby’s diaper bag or other belongings. To say it’s well equipped is an understatement. They’ve thought of nearly everything!

My favorite characteristic of the stroller is its ability to be used as a travel system with our Baby Trend Flex-Loc car seat. While our baby girl is still small, the car seat snaps onto the stroller tray (much like it would snap into the in-care base) so baby can ride comfortably and feel supported. This is also great for when she falls asleep in the car—we don’t have to disturb her to transition her into the stroller, and when we’re lucky, she continues snoozing throughout our errand-running. The main seat of stroller features a 5-point safety harness that’s simple to open and close, but not so simple a tiny escape artist could figure it out. When baby outgrows the travel system option, the stroller can be used into your child’s toddler years up to 50 pounds.

The Baby Trend Expedition LX stroller is a great stroller for jogging or walking and is well equipped for my family’s needs. We’ve been very pleased with the sleek look and quality, and consider it to be an excellent value for practical, budget-conscious families.
