    My last show

021413ku-LastShowIt’s finally here—no not my due date. My last puppet show (at least for a while). Chad and I have had it marked out on the calendar for a couple of months now, and suddenly the day has arrived. One more big reminder that the end is near. My due date is March 7th and the days just keep passing.

I must admit that I’m going to miss performing for the next few months, but I know that there will be even more amazing things in store for me that I can’t even imagine—plus all sorts of solo performances of lullabies and nursery rhymes and the like.

We’ve been training a lovely puppeteer to take on my roles for the next few months, and while it’s a little unsettling at first hearing your lines for your characters being said and performed in a totally new way, it’s also been nice to know that Chad will be performing with someone who enjoys the work as much as we do. I’ll get back to performing birthday parties and library shows soon enough. This month is for me to finish up some projects on my end and to relax a bit and get ready for our new little guy to make his appearance.

You might be wondering how my last show went… well, I’m happy to report that it was a great show! Lots of happy children and adults, really lovely audience, and smiles all around. I couldn’t ask for a nicer farewell.
