    Blonde ambition

It seems that with every week that passes there is a new skill that Jacob has mastered. A few weeks ago, it was sliding down the stairs (under a watchful eye, of course). Last week, it was learning to walk with his musical Fisher Price walker (completely awesome baby toy, btw). This week, his newfound skill apparently is growing hair.

Finally! After eleven long months of explaining that “no, my baby isn’t completely bald he just has blonde hair” (*cough* *cough*), I now have photographic evidence that Jacob isn’t suffering from early-onset alopecia.

    See:

(Isn’t that the most adorable face ever, btw?)

Tom snapped the picture during Jacob’s evening bath, and he showed me the photo later that night. My sentiments were precisely like those of my sister-in-law Shelly after she saw the picture on Facebook: “HAIR!!! he has hair!”

And, with his first birthday around the corner, his timing couldn’t be better. I’m so glad that now when I snip off a beautiful blonde lock to save for his (hypothetical) baby book that he’ll still have some to spare.
