32 weeks and I’ve started to waddle

Today I got up from my desk chair at work and noticed that my normal stride has turned to a very clear waddle. This does not come as a huge surprise to me. Lately my hips have been increasingly sore, especially at night while I sleep. I have tried putting a pillow between my legs, but about four hours into my slumber I wake up and turn over and hear all sorts of pops and adjustments happening. Suffice it to say, my hips aren’t happy. They are getting more and more relaxed with all the relaxin pumping through my veins. And with that comes the waddling.

I walked across the puppet workshop to the kitchen area and announced to a co-worker “I’m waddling” and she replied “it’s endearing.” Ha!

Overall my body continues to amaze me. I had always wondered how it would handle pregnancy, and my answer has been, for the most part, pretty great. It has been wonderful feeling our son move around. His busiest times are morning and night. I call it the morning show and the late show. Sometimes it’s the late, late show. ☺ It just depends on when he feels like doing his thing.

For now I think I’ll waddle over to my comfy chair, lay back, and wait for the late show to begin.
