An often overlooked, but oh-so-important part of planning for the arrival of your little one is a small detail—tiny, really. Who's making dinner in those first few weeks?

Chances are, you won't feel much like rounding up recipes and standing over a stove much when you finally bring your bundle home from the hospital. Besides needing to recover from a big physical event, you also have to figure out a whole new schedule in your life—a schedule that takes some getting used to!Even if friends and family offer to help, often you're left to coordinate who brings what meal when and making sure everyone has directions and food allergy info and doesn't overlap with someone else.

Mealbaby.com to the rescue! Created as a site to help people recovering from surgery or labor, or those needing assistance in meal planning for any reason, MealBaby is a meal registry wherein registrants can log in and create a meal-planning calendar. It includes all the details like listing the recipients favorite foods, an option for gift cards to their favorite restaurants, directions to their house and more! And once it's set up, the coordinator can email it out to friends and family to start filling in dates or contributing to restaurant gift cards. It's a practical, helpful way for your loved ones to really support you during your time of adjustment to motherhood, and it leaves you free to just answer the door and accept meals with a smile.

And even better than all that—MealBaby has partnered with Feed the Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding hungry children and families in the USand other parts of the world. Helping others while you get help you need for yourself—it's a win-win all around.
