Tis’ the season to travel!
During the holiday months we are constantly on the go, visiting aunt and uncles, cousins, and of course grandparents.I found in my travels that I was always missing something, so I decided to design my own mobile nursery. It has made traveling much more enjoyable and has certainly reduced some of the dreaded travel drama.
The backbone of my mobile nursery is this too-cute overnight bag by Kushies. In addition to being adorable, it includes a pillow and blanket, soft insulated snack and medicine boxes, and bags to organize clean and dirty clothes, soiled clothes, shoes, and pajamas. It is very well-made and durable, and Charlie loves the little dog print on the front.
A place for your little one to sleep is an absolute necessity.I wanted a sleep solution that was safe, comfortable, and lightweight. My searching led me to the beautiful beds by Lalapanzi. They come in several sweet styles and a travel sac can be purchased separately for easy storage. It is the perfect bed for your on-the-go needs.
At some point your sweet little love is going to need a bath.I have found that when Charlie was too small to bathe alone, the easiest thing to do was just get in the bath with him, no travel tub required! You will however need some gentle skincare products.Enter the bath products by Little Twig which are totally organic and come neatly tucked in a convenient travel case.I have been using the same travel set since Charlie was born so they last a really long time!
I can’t count how many times I’ve struggled to feed Charlie in my lap as he kicks and squirms to try and get away.Well, those days are behind me.The Mutsy grow-up seat is the perfect solution for feeding your little one away from home.It boasts a comfy, flexible seat which easily and safely attaches to a regular chair. It is a super-smart feeding solution.
This compact feeding ensemble by Elegant Baby is the perfect fit for our holiday travels. It contains a dish with lid, fork and spoon, infant cup, and additional meal and snack containers with lids. All of the pieces are done in fun prints and tuck conveniently inside a portable travel case.Don’t forget to also throw in your child’s favorite bottle (if he takes one) travel time is not the right time to experiment with something in new in that department!
Last, but certainly not least are the travel toys.Charlie is a great car-rider, but like any child requires a few fun distractions.Tiny Love is my go-to supplier of fun car toys. Their Frog Kick & Mirror is sure to delight any tiny tyke.It is baby-activated and is the perfect accessory to any rear-facing carseat.
