Art prints are awesome. They’re an expensive way to add a little pizazz to the nursery, but when you start investing in frames, the costs start adding up. So we’ve rounded up a few ways to go beyond the basic frame and showcase your prints in style—and within budget.
DIY darling
For next to nothing you can create an original hanging with just a little balsa wood and thread (inspired by this tutorial). Bonus score: The art is available for free online at Tatertots & Jello (for personal use only, of course).

Round and round
As a lover of hoops and clotheslines, this “frame” combines two of my faves for a winning display.

Supplies – hoop, mini clothespins and twine: Michael’s / print: c/o Petit Collage (comes matted as an 8×10)
Tray chic
An unfinished wood tray creates an interesting backdrop for a print; dress it up with a little washi tape, a fabric flower, or whatever your heart desires. (You could always paint the tray if that’s more your thing.)

Get clipped
Not necessarily a new idea, but clipboards still make for an awfully quick, cute and easy art display.
Clipboard
Supplies – clipboard: OfficeMax / print: c/o Rifle Paper Co.
Chalk back
A small chalkboard, a fabric flower and a bulldog clip: All fabulous on their own, even better together.

Washi wonderful
The easiest, cheapest way to hang a print: Simply tape it right to the wall with some colorful washi tape. And even though it’s the simplest option, it’s also one of my favorite ways to show off prints.

Hang-ups
I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but it’s certainly for me: A wooden pant/skirt hanger clips right on a print and provides it with a very happy home on the wall.
