Sure, Christmas and Thanksgiving are nice, but here at P&N, we're particular fans of today's holiday: Labor Day!
Labor is the the period of time that marks an marked transition in a woman's life. Once labor ends, motherhood begins! Labor is a process both feared and revered, but no matter your feelings toward the matter, there's no denying that it's a momentous occasion. And we feel like that's a reason to celebrate.
Whether you had a C-section, a waterbirth or a traditional hospital delivery, pat yourself on the back for a job well done:You brought new life to the world! And that's no small feat. Moms-to-be, anticipate your day of delivery with good thoughts and excitement—your amazing journey has just begun.
(Pssst—need some reads to ready yourself for D-day? We've got a bevy of great info in our Labor and delivery article archives, multitudes of birth stories on our Birth Day blog, a list of supplies to bring to the hospital from a former Knocked Up blogger, and a roundup of songs to play during labor. Peruse away on Labor Day!)
