    Spa food for your face

Your skin is crying out for some TLC but you’ve got no time to get to the aesthetician. No problem! Just stop by your kitchen for the best at-home recipes to aid in calming your skin’s most pesky ailments.

    To soothe irritated skin

Mix 1-cup chilled yogurt with 1⁄2-cup oatmeal to make a loose paste. Apply to your skin and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

    To fight wrinkles

Mash half a banana until very creamy. Spread over your face and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

    To tighten pores

Open pores with a warm, damp washcloth then follow up with a smear of honey all over your face. Leave on for 15-20 minutes then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with cold water to close pores.

    To moisturize dry skin

Mash a ripe avocado into a creamy consistency and massage into your skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and gently rinse off with warm water.

    To exfoliate

Mix 2-tablespoons cornmeal with about the same amount of water to make a thick paste. Gently apply to your face and wash off.
