I’m having a baby! I’m so excited to announce that I am expecting again.
Our newest addition is scheduled to arrive in early August, just a week before Charlie’s second birthday. Though this pregnancy came as quite a shock, I am still super excited. I have also been very surprised at how different this pregnancy has been from my last. With sweet Charlie I was sick before I even took a pregnancy test and that sickness didn’t ease until somewhere around week 14. In contrast this pregnancy is flying by with much less queasiness (thank goodness)! In light of my upcoming arrival, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite pregnancy products—some from my previous pregnancy where I was terribly ill and some from this pregnancy where I am already terribly huge!
With both my previous pregnancy and my current bump I sported b-buckles early on. They are a great way to get a couple more weeks out of your pre-pregnancy clothes without having your pants constantly falling off your bottom. They come in a variety of styles and are easy to move from one pair of pants to the next.
While I was expecting Charlie I had lots of time to devote to proper nutrition. That has become much harder while chasing a one year old. I found myself making unhealthy choices quiet frequently until I recently found the awesome products from Bellybar by NutraBella. I was a bit hesitant at first, but was in desperate need of a healthy alternative to the endless bowls of sugary cereal I’d been consuming. Bellybars are super yummy, and I’ve actually found myself craving their Baby Needs Chocolate Boost bars. They are easy, healthy, and delicious! Also, be sure to try their tasty Citrus on Board Belly-bar Chews and Bellybar Prenatal Chewable Vitamins, both are tasty little treats!
While I was pregnant with Charlie I experienced some major skin problems. I had breakouts and patches of dry skin which made me feel really self-conscious. Thankfully I stumbled onto Belli Skincare and never looked back. I even used their products for several months after Charlie was born while my hormones were still settling down from the pregnancy. I also feel really safe knowing that Belli uses only ingredients that are highly tested and found to be safe during pregnancy.
During my first pregnancy I ate my weight in Preggie Pop Drops. These all-natural, drug-free candies actually eased my nausea like nothing else. So far I haven’t found myself in need of them this pregnancy, but if I do then I am certainly going to try the new Organic Preggie Pop Drops. Here’s to hoping I don’t need them this time around!
Thankfully my previous pregnancy and this pregnancy line up perfectly to allow me to use my existing maternity wardrobe. I have however found that my bump has grown much more quickly this time around. While I was pregnant with Charlie, maternity clothes weren’t necessary until the end of the first trimester, this time around my belly appeared well before my first prenatal visit. I’ve had to purchase a few pieces to help me get through this transition before I’m into my spring and summer maternity ward-robe. The Transition Kit from Belly Basics is perfect for those first few months. It in-cludes a 3/4 length sleeve top and slim pant. I also have a top from Belly Basics that I had during my previous pregnancy which has held up great to washing and wearing. A definite must for early pregnancy and right after the baby is born!
