I wish.
I had such a great week! Lots of finishing touches are going up in my house. Lighting, shelves, draperies. It's all coming together. Last week I posted about coming up with great ideas for my kids' rooms that are either free or very inexpensive. I was able to find an awesome pendant lamp for my oldest son's room in the AS-IS section at IKEA. I've been eyeing it for weeks, and I found it for half off! I also have two end tables that I'm not using that I'm going to now use as tables in each bedroom. I'm really excited to post pictures once it's all done. I hope you can bear with me until then though; it's far from being complete. My next projects are going to be wall art. I've got some great pictures to frame, but I need some DIY projects to really give the rooms that designer touch.
I think my biggest advice when planning for a nursery is to expect the unexpected. Sure, have a game plan and a sense for the style you want, but just be prepared for hiccups! Budget, item availability and other obstacles always affect a design plan. Right now, my design skills are being challenged to the max. I'm loving it more than ever though.
