Knowing about your baby’s growth may settle your mind, but it probably won’t cure any serious aches. Here are a few quick remedies for common third trimester ills.
Restless Leg Syndrome
Cut back on caffeine (if you haven’t already) and try relaxation exercises like stretching or yoga.
Snooze on your left side and place a pillow between your knees.
Eat small, frequent meals so you get enough nutrition without always feeling stuffed.
Sit and prop your feet when possible.
Feast on fiber-rich foods and drink plenty of water.
Don’t eat too close to bedtime, and steer clear of spicy cuisine.
Practice kegel exercises to help prevent flare-ups, and apply witch hazel and ice packs for relief while you’re side-sleeping.
