    Black and blue

Sometimes the easiest way to create a cohesive nursery is to pick a simple scheme and knock it out with a one-two punch. Just decide on a color or two (or three if you must) and fill baby's bedroom only with items of those hues. The number of color combinations is endless, and you shouldn't hesitate to branch out from old faithfuls like pink-and-brown. (Though there's nothing wrong with pink and brown. If you have your heart set on it, go ahead and make your heart happy by rolling with it.) For this room, I'm choosing black (yes! black! in a nursery!) and blue to create a modern oasis for the coolest of babes.
